'Important decisions should be based on the best available evidence'
This is the website for the South West Observatory Culture Module with data, information and analysis about culture, the arts, sport and heritage from South West England.
The Culture Module is part of the Observatory network, which works towards evidence-based policy and decision making by drawing together research, resources and analysis across policy themes and from different local areas. We do this to build a clearer understanding of the issues affecting people living and working in this part of the country. Our aim, in common with other Observatory Thematic Modules, is to provide timely and accurate information for your work and decisions.

The Culture Module is provided by a partnership led by the South West Cultural Agencies Network (made up from representatives from Arts Council England, English Heritage, South West Screen and Sport England). Please let us know if you have any thoughts on how we could improve our site and, of course, email if you have any specific culture, media and sport related questions that you need answers to.
